The Stepping Stone Senior Centre was officially opened on April 2, 2001 and has been growing ever since. Initially, the centre only occupied part of the building on 15 Saunders Street, with the Fredericton Recreation Department utilizing the rest. However, in January of 2004, the city advised the centre that the Recreation Department would be moving to a different location, and the centre expanded to take over the entire building. Volunteers are an important
factor in keeping the Stepping
Stone Senior Centre open.
There are many ways you can
volunteer here at the Centre,
and we are always looking for
more people to help out.
You could work at our
Welcome Desk. We try to
have 2 volunteers for each shift.
The shifts are from 9:00-12:30 and
from 12:15-4:00.
